Some experimental photos I have taken in 2018. I’m very much interested in sacral architecture as well as symmetry, and these photos express this kind of Anmutung (= Appearance). The working title is “Palace of the Brine”, it’s a work in progress.

In 2013, I experimented with various ways of depicting space with photography in a two-dimensional space. I photographed the entrance hall of the villa in Kyoto where I was living at the time, playfully trying out different projection methods from the field of architecture.

Not enough for an entry in the projects-section, but kind of charming nevertheless: an old series from 2013. When living in Kyoto, I took a walk through the Imperial Garden in Kyoto and photographed lamp posts, always in the same position.
